Brief and Style Review
We start by going through your manuscript and understanding what the illustrations need to do, how many there are, what style fits the book, and what the characters and settings actually look like based on your writing.
Style Samples
Before any final illustrations get started, we send over style samples so you can see the direction we are planning and give feedback before we commit to a full set.
Character and Scene Development
For books with recurring characters or consistent settings, we develop those visuals first and get your approval before they appear across multiple illustrations.
Illustration Rounds
We work through the illustrations in batches and send each one for your review before moving to the next, so you are not waiting until the end to see the full set for the first time.
Revision Rounds
Each illustration goes through revision rounds based on your feedback until it looks right, with the number of rounds depending on which package your project is on.
Final File Delivery
Completed illustrations are delivered in high-resolution print and digital formats, along with source files where included in your package.
